Prof. Pruthwi Raj Das after completing his engineering degree from Orissa Engineering College, Bhubaneswar studied Human Resources at University of Westminster, London. He worked as a Business Studies lecturer at London College of Business & Computing for five years. But he could not live in London as he felt a pull towards his birthplace Jajpur, Odisha. He felt that the best way to give back to his own motherland is to make your own people worthy of earning their bread and butter by making them skilled. Thus he started ‘Abbey West Services’ a skill development organisation in 2010 at Jajpur Town. Under his able guidance Abbey West Services has grown to have a total of 12 centers all over Odisha.

Abbey West Service (AWSS) began its humble operation in July 2010 in Skill Development sector. Till date it has trained more than 10000 students and provided employment to more than 7000 students across various industries. 2014 onwards it has established partnership with Ministry of Rural Development to start imparting skill development training for rural youths belonging to down trodden families under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). Till the completion of five projects under DDU-GKY our organisation has trained 2081 rural youths and among them 1445 have been successfully placed in various industries.
